Wendy will talk about the I’ve Got You Project explaining how EVERYONE is on the mental health front line. She will help your group understand how to recognize signs that someone may be struggling and how to help.
MENTAL HEALTH LITERACY
Wendy describes how we can create a “mentally healthier” society by giving information about mental health to very young children so they can identify thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in themselves and others that might mean someone needs help.
WENDY’S JOURNEY THROUGH THE MENTAL HEALTH SPACE
Wendy has had myriad experiences in the mental health space both personally and with friends, family, acquaintances, and strangers that informed the I’ve Got You Project. Wendy’s stories are both harrowing and hopeful and help inspire others to become part of the I’ve Got You movement and put us all on the mental health front line.
IF YOU OR SOMEONE YOU KNOW FEEL(S) SUICIDAL, Go to the emergency room, call a mental health professional who can talk to you NOW, or call the police. IF YOU CALL THE POLICE, be sure to indicate that you need help with a mental health emergency, not a crime or criminal!
